GHK-Cu Cost Per Bottle: What 10 g Actually Makes

Price per gram is the number suppliers quote. Cost per finished bottle is the number that decides whether a product works. The gap between them is arithmetic — and it is bigger than most buyers expect.

“What does GHK-Cu cost?” is usually answered with a number per gram. That number is useful for comparing suppliers, but it does not tell you what a bottle of serum costs to make. For that you need three things: the use level, the fill size, and the price tier you are actually buying at.

This guide works through the arithmetic with our published indicative pricing, so you can see how 10 g, 100 g and 1 kg translate into bottles and cost per unit. It also lists what the per-gram price leaves out — because that is where budgets usually go wrong.

The assumptions

How many bottles does a pack make?

At 1%, a 30 ml bottle contains 0.3 g of GHK-Cu. At 0.1% it contains 0.03 g. That difference alone changes the yield by a factor of ten.

Use levelGHK-Cu per 30 mlBottles from 10 gFrom 100 gFrom 1 kg

0.5%150 mg666666,666
1.0%300 mg333333,333

Two numbers worth remembering. A single 100 mg vial makes about three 30 ml bottles at 0.1%, or one third of a bottle at 1%. And a 10 g pack is the same as 100 vials of 100 mg — which is why the same material can look cheap in a vial and expensive in grams, depending on how the quote is written.

What the peptide adds to one bottle

Multiply the grams per bottle by the price per gram at each tier.

0.5%$2.97$2.67$2.43$2.15$1.91
1.0%$5.94$5.34$4.86$4.29$3.81

Read the table by column, not by row. Moving from 10 g to 100 g saves about 18% per gram; moving from 100 g to 1 kg saves about 22%. At a 0.5% use level, that is the difference between $2.97 and $1.91 on every bottle — more than the entire packaging cost in most projects.

What $5.94 actually means for a retail product

Take a 30 ml serum at 1% GHK-Cu from a 10 g pack: the peptide costs $5.94. At 100 g it is $4.86; at 1 kg, $3.81. Against a $29 retail price, the peptide is roughly 17%, 17% and 13% of the retail price respectively — before the base, the bottle, the label, testing, freight and margin.

At 0.1%, the same bottle carries $0.59 of peptide from a 10 g pack — about 2% of a $29 retail price. That is the real trade-off in formulation: a tenfold difference in active cost for a different claim and a different stability profile. The decision is not “which is cheaper”; it is “what does the formula need, and what can the label honestly say”.

The costs the per-gram price hides

  1. Fill loss and overage. A 30 ml fill usually needs 31–32 ml of bulk. Add 3–5% and the peptide cost rises with it.
  2. Freight and duty. Small parcels are charged by weight and handling, not by value; the cost per bottle can be several times higher for a 10 g order than for a 1 kg order.
  3. Testing. Stability, preservative challenge and compatibility tests are per project, not per gram — but they are part of the cost of putting the peptide into a product.
  4. Working capital and shelf life. A kilo is cheaper per gram but ties up cash and needs storage. GHK-Cu powder is typically kept cold, dark and dry; confirm the shelf life from the date of manufacture with your supplier.
  5. Batch variation. A larger lot is usually a single batch, which simplifies COA matching and label claims compared with several small lots.

When to move up a tier

Work backwards from monthly production:

Match the pack to your shelf-life window and cash cycle, not just to the lowest price per gram. Buying 1 kg to save 22% only makes sense if you will use it before it degrades and if the cash is not needed elsewhere.

How to get a real landed cost

Send four things and the arithmetic becomes a quotation rather than an estimate:

  1. Use level and fill size (for example “0.5% in a 30 ml airless bottle”)
  2. Monthly or annual bottle volume
  3. Destination country and preferred shipping mode
  4. Pack format you want: grams, or 10-vial kits with a stated strength

We quote EXW by default and can add freight to your door. The price guide explains how the tiers work, and the MOQ guide covers what a minimum order really means in practice.

Frequently asked questions

How many bottles of serum does 10 g of GHK-Cu make?

At 0.1% in a 30 ml serum, 10 g makes about 333 bottles. At 0.5% it makes about 66 bottles, and at 1% about 33 bottles. The calculation assumes 30 ml weighs roughly 30 g and does not include fill loss or overage.

How much does GHK-Cu add to the cost of one bottle?

At the 100 g price tier of USD 16.20 per gram, a 30 ml bottle costs about USD 0.49 at 0.1%, USD 2.43 at 0.5% and USD 4.86 at 1%. At the 1 kg tier the same bottle costs USD 0.38, USD 1.91 and USD 3.81 respectively, EXW and before freight.

Why is the price per gram different at different quantities?

Larger quantities amortise batch testing, packaging and handling over more grams, so the price per gram falls. On our published indicative tiers the step from 10 g to 100 g saves about 18%, and 100 g to 1 kg about 22% per gram.

Does a higher use level make a better product?

Not automatically. Cosmetic copper peptides are commonly used at 0.05–1%, and the right level depends on the formula, the packaging, the stability data and the claim you can support. More peptide also means more cost, more colour and potentially more formulation difficulty.

What is missing from this per-bottle calculation?

Freight, import duty, fill loss (typically 3–5%), overage for assay, packaging, stability testing, preservative challenge testing and working capital. Add those before comparing the cost with a retail price.

Can I buy less than 10 g?

We supply sample and evaluation quantities as small as a single vial or a kit, so a formulation trial does not require a 10 g order. Ask for the sample size that matches your trial batch.
